Activities

We aim to meet the social needs of our residents by planning regular activities, days out and holidays. Residents are free to involve themselves as much or as little as they choose and monthly meetings ensure their voices are heard regularly.

Exercise
Residents are encouraged to exercise wherever possible and Bramcote Leisure Centre is located just a short walk away. Our homes provide large garden areas which residents can access freely to enjoy the sun or partake in activities with other residents and staff members. We have plenty of garden games such as bowls, netball, football and kite flying to be enjoyed should the weather permit. We are also very lucky to have such lovely surroundings, with Bramcote Park and Wollaton Park a short distance away should anyone fancy a walk.

Activities
Our team love nothing more than taking our residents out to exciting new places and getting involved with a wide range of activities. We can often be found at the local bowling alley or pool table during the evenings, or at church or a museum exhibition on a Sunday morning. Residents are also free to enjoy a large selection of puzzles, board games and card games which are kept close to the dinner table at all times.

If there is an event or activity an individual expresses an interest in we will strive to accommodate their wishes. This may include a trip to Thorpe Park, a Boy George concert or a Nottingham Forest match.

Holidays
We could all do with a change of scenery once in a while. At least once a year we plan a holiday for those that wish to partake in a week of leisure and relaxation. Pre Covid our residents opted to stay at Golden Sands Holiday Park, Mablethorpe.
